BGM GmbH was founded in 2009 as a start-up in the field of innovative track construction technology. The headquarters are located in Meissenheim (Baden) in South Germany, near the French city of Strasbourg. In the company group "Zürcher Holding GmbH", it is responsible for the realization of the machine building activities. By the development alliance with the track-construction firm "Zürcher Bau GmbH", which is well established on the market, many new and practice-related ideas have been generated, most of which are protected by patent right.
Mr.
Ralf Zürcher, the proprietor, is executively acting in BGM, but by giving
innovative ideas, he is the source of the new machine technology.
The
operative business is managed by Mr. Axel Vonhoff, who has technically and
organizationally developed the company from its foundation to the diverse
certifications and vehicle admissions.
The flexible and
highly dedicated team of currently nine employees and an apprentice directly
realizes the projects from the idea, the design, the electrical automation to
the material management, ensuring the performance of railway-specific tasks and
complex calculations in close cooperation with specialists.
A core idea of the machine technology is the segmentation of the different functions in regarding individual modules and vehicles.
The basis of these vehicles are robust, well-designed and very flexible vehicles which can also be assembled in modules (principle of modular design) from a basis car with many efficient options and additional assemblies.
The main focus of the new track construction technology is on the extension and flexible designing of the new logistics opportunities in the handling of very different construction materials.
The track construction machines are developed by applying the latest technical and ecological knowledge, considering that efficiency and simple, robust handling always have to stand the test in practical application.
The early decision for electric-motor drives and the renunciation of oil-hydraulic components generated saving potentials of more than 30% fuel in the first developments already, and provided for completely new motion patterns. Special developments for several customers are realized, as well as the fabrication of small series for the optimal utilization of the innovative logistics concepts.
The region 'Baden' is not only mentioned in our firm name - it is program! For example, in the choice of partners and suppliers for the production, assembly and putting-into-operation of the vehicles, the priority is on professional competence and the regional vicinity of the companies.Close personal contacts and short distances contribute to the achievement of our high standards of quality and technical design.
Germany's railway network has a length of 41,896 kilometres.
To
build this network requires the know-how of innumerable engineers, planners and
practitioners. This knowledge gained in practice is the source for the
development of our products:
Modern
track construction machines with innovative features.
Flexibly combinable with many different functional modules.
Reliable,
durable and efficient.
